Karis Renee & Blake McNamara were engaged on August 19 in Dallas, TX with an intimate proposal at historic Arlington Hall at Oak Lawn Park.

The bride works in Dallas as a Marketing Specialist & Digital Influencer, building her style-based brand at KarisRenee.com with her own online boutique & lifestyle blog. 

The groom is an Air Force Veteran &  Jack of All Trades, pursuing his dream as a Professional Actor, signed to The Kim Dawson Agency & working as Brewmaster with Pegasus City Brewery.

The couple met in their 1st class on the 1st day of middle school in Tulsa, OK. Since then, at ages 11 & 12, these 2 have been partners in crime, best friends, and now officially "McNamarried" as husband and wife. 

​

"I just remember thinking that he was really funny & said all the things I was thinking!", the bride said of her soon-to-be groom. "We've always been close, and our bond just stuck, never really letting up over the years." "...I've always loved him," Karis admitted over rolled eyes. "I guess all of our friends from school were right!"

​

Blake, who had been stationed in Germany when the 2 began dating, said that he "just couldn't go on being in love with her without making it official. No matter how difficult that could be." 

​

For 4 years, Karis & Blake sent their love from afar, maintaining a long-distance relationship until Blake's move to Dallas, where the couple lives now, grateful for the simplicity of sharing the time zone. After 4 more years of "doing life" together,  Blake surprised Karis with the antique ring that she thought was lost to another buyer at an estate sale- popping the question over shared tears and a cup of coffee.

The couple exchanged vows privately in October of 2018 and celebrated with loved ones soonafter at their reception in December 2018.
